"It really was an interesting read...I enjoyed reading about this family's life and at times battle with less technology. If you are the sort of person who thinks they don't use much technology, this book really opens your eyes to how much you do rely on the mobile phone, the TV, and the Internet. If you are the other side of the coin and know how much you use and rely on the internet, this book will give you ways to reduce your usage and ways to implement change for the better. As well as give you ideas as to what you can do with your freed up time. I would certainly show an interest in anything written by this author in the future. I liked her straight to the point honest approach." -- Sandra "Jeanz"

"Reading this book has inspired me to want to cut back and limit the amount of technology my family and I indulge in and incorporate into our daily lives. And while...I don't foresee doing anything quite as all encompassing as this author did, I can for sure see putting small changes into effect." -- Rebekah Crain

"I Really admire Shareal and her family taking a year out and unplugging from technology which we are all so addicted to. This book gets you thinking a lot about your life and that amount of time and devices we use on a daily basis. I think Everyone should read it as its made me change my life." -- Sofia

"Well-written and extremely interesting, this book held my attention from the first page to the last. Kolberg does a great job of describing her experiences and relaying all of the emotions she encounters during this unique experiment with her family. The results are astounding and I know I'll read this book again and again. Highly recommended!" -- Lindsey

"If you've ever debating unplugging everything- just for a day, week, month, or even a year like this family- then you need to read this book. And if you've never debated letting go of your handheld devices, you also need to read this book. Sharael's story is a modern day Henry David Thoreau tale, and it's worth taking a moment to mull over." -- Lone Alaskan Gypsy
